We've probably all got our favorite. This is mine...
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
1 & 1/2 sticks butter (at room temp)
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. chopped walnuts
In your mixer, combine butter and sugar and mix until well blended. Add eggs and mix until dough changes to a light yellow color and looks very light and fluffy. Add remaining ingredients up to flour. Mix until just combined. Add chocolate chips and nuts. For of all you milk chocolate chip lovers (and I used to be one too) try the semi-sweet. A whole new level of chocolate satisfaction awaits.
Drop onto an UNGREASED cookie sheet and bake for 9-11 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. I love to keep a store of these cookies in my freezer and then dip them (frozen) into a glass of cold milk. Quite the indulgence.
